03/13/2007 I worked last night. Didn't get out until midnight. Don't know why....the store wasn't that trashed, and there wasn't that much recovery. Ah well. I finished the movie Borat when I got home. It is good and funny. Would have been nice to see in a theater.

My Final Four picks are: Kansas Vs. Florida and Texas Vs. Louisville. Kansas Vs. Texas in the Final. Kansas winning. My dark horse other than this Final Four is Oregon.
03/11/2007 Yesterday we went to Bridget's uncle Alex's wedding. It was a lovely affair, with the ceremony, food, and dancing. Bridget was quiet during the ceremony, ate a little, and danced a storm. She even tried the "Macarana." I will post some shots later.

Kansas won the Big 12, after being down 22 in the first half. Oh yeah, and they are a number one seed. As long as they don't lose in the first round this year.....
03/07/2007

I sent our taxes in electronically on Sunday. Maybe Saturday evening. The state refund was posted to our account today. Who says government doesn't work?!?!?!

Kansas men have a bye in the Big 12 tourney. Look, I don't care if they lose the first game in the Big 12 playoffs. Just don't lose the first round of the NCAA tourney! That's all I'm asking!

03/04/2007 I put together a rocking horse for Bridget. It was one her uncle Alex had as a kid. Her Grandpa Allan saved it. She likes it.

I watched the movie The 40 Year Old Virgin. I thought it would be a stupid laugh movie, but it was hilarious. Lot of good laughs, and I think seeing it in a crowded theater would have been great.
03/03/2007 I worked today. Store didn't seem that busy. Might have been the good weather. Of course, that could be an argument for having a busy store. Came home to chili made in the crockpot! I finished the movie The Ring Two. Not as good as the first, but a good horror flick.

Oh, and Kansas won the Big 12 regular season championship.
03/01/2007 I finished For Your Consideration. I actually only had about one minute left to watch! It wasn't that good.
02/28/2007 Happy 63rd birthday to my dad! Bridget and I called this morning. Bridget didn't want to talk. Ah well. She talks all the other time!

Bridget and I have colds. I sound like a frog.
02/27/2007 I thought Tom Vilsack had a chance for the Democratic nomination. Well, he's out! And that is too bad.

And Kansas beat Oklahoma!

I finished the book "Bait and Switch: The (Futile) Pursuit of the American Dream," by Barbara Ehrenreich. Interesting. Could have been better.
02/26/2007 Was I wrong! We got about 4 inches, maybe 5. Wet snow. I shoveled the driveway and walkway three different times. Heavy snow too. Looks good. Slushy. Surprised the area.

I watched some of the Oscars. I haven't seen many of the films yet. I'm sure I will when they come out on DVD.
02/25/2007 It is snowing outside. Not too much accumulation, and the temperature is about freezing. Supposed to be icy.

We ate at Urban Burger last night. An offshoot of Urban Barbecue. Good burgers. It was crowded because of a Washington Post story on the joint.

I started the movie For Your Consideration. About halfway through it. Not as good as Waiting for Guffman or Best in Show, but good.
02/22/2007

The OC finished as a series tonight. I can't do justice anymore with reviews, so here is one. I'll post others if I find them to be good.

Our foyer floor is almost done. They will come tomorrow to grout. I'll post photos when I get a chance.

02/17/2007 Happy 36th Birthday to my good friend Bill Buser, of Seattle.

I worked 8 hours today. At the cash register for most of it. Good day though. Karen and Bridget were in Baltimore area for a party and then a sleep-over at Grandmom Mary's house. I stayed home, ate at Savannah's, and watched The Descent, a horror movie. Not as scary/good as I thought it was going to be.
02/16/2007 Last night I watched the movie Invincible. I love Mark Wahlberg. Good movie too.

Bridget and I played on the ice again. She had a good time sliding on her rear end.
02/15/2007 Bridget and I ran a couple of errands. She had fun playing at Barnes and Noble. We ate a piece of breadcake at Starbucks. Then we went home and played on the ice. Fun fun!

I finished "The Broker," by John Grisham.

Also, here is a slide show I put together of Bridget photos from 2006.
02/14/2007 Happy Valentine's Day! We have snow/ice/sleet yuck!

I worked last night. The store/mall was quiet. Probably more of the same tonight.
02/11/2007 I've uploaded movies of Bridget. All are under a minute. Turn up the volume!
02/10/2007

Kansas 92 - Missouri 74. Any questions at all?

Yesterday we went to playgroup. Bridget met a new dog!

02/08/2007 I started my new parttime job. This one is at Borders. The store i a few miles from home. Easy drive. Should be interesting. I worked the Holidays at Barnes and Noble. They just didn't have the hours for seasonal folks. So, to the other major bookstore.
02/07/2007 We were scheduled to have our new foyer installed today. Well, the guy got here at 10 a.m. Then he looked at the job and said, "They didn't tell me we were taking up the floor below." So I had to call the main office to get them to call him on his cell to say, "no, the floor does come out." You are not supposed to install porcelain tile over hardwood. That is basic knowledge. Installing any ceramic tile over hardwood, even with a good underlayment, will result in BROKEN TILE.

The guy did redeem himself. When bringing in the boxed tile, he noticed that not enough was ordered. The soonest the one box I need can get in is next week. Joy! Good thing he didn't find that out until later.

He did take up the decades old vinyl tile and underlayment. So, next week he will take out the existing flooring in this small area, and install porcelain.

And who said that home improvement jobs were easy? Bridget was a trooper, so we are going to "old Macdonald's" for lunch.
02/06/2007 I've uploaded some photos of Bridget's visit with her Grandpa Tom from Montana. I'll put up the movies later.

I saw the movie The Lake House.
02/05/2007 Bridget enjoyed a visit from her Grandpa Tom from Montana. She was very, very, very, very talkative. She showed him how she dances. I will post photos and movies of the visit soon. We all enjoyed a dinner of chicken (made in the crockpot of course) yams with apples (a leftover crockpot recipe) and risotto. Tapioca pudding for dessert. Wine as a drink for the adults.
02/04/2007 I finished the movie Saw 3. Better than the second installment and almost as good as the first. I wonder if there will be more in the series. I don't see why not.

Go Dolts. I don't care, but the Dolts are an AFC team....
02/03/2007 I've uploaded photos taken in January, 2007.
02/02/2007 Bridget and I went to playgroup. Fun fun! I got to hold a baby and Bridget played with toys and a 140 pound Rottweiller named Dodger. That dog, in a fight, would kick my a**.
02/01/2007 I finished the movie Final Destination 3. Not as good as the other two. In fact, just not good. But what could I expect?!?!!?
01/31/2007 Sherry Harper now works at O'Connor & Hannan, LLP. Please update your contact info.
01/30/2007 I read the book "Cell," by Stephen King. A very good book by him.
01/26/2007 I finished the movie Click. I liked it better when they called it A Christmas Carol.......
01/21/2007 The futility of the New Orleans Saints continues......
01/21/2007 We watched the movie Who Killed the Electric Car? It was interesting, especially since I worked in that industry for three years. Saw recognized one of the interviewees.

Yes, and Kansas lost to Texas Tech. So what?!?!?!
01/19/2007 I finished the book "The Stupidest Angel," by Christopher Moore. Absolutely hilarious book! He has a new one about vampires called "You Suck." I may read that one later.
01/18/2007 I finished the movie Bewitched last night. It was ok. Not much like the tv show. Interesting idea.

And Happy First Birthday to my nephew Ryan Trebon!
01/15/2007

Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team beat Missouri 80-77, in Lawrence, KS. Wooohooooo.

I also put up some misc photos taken in October-November, 2006.

01/13/2007 I saw Blood Diamond at a theater near us. Very good. First movie I've seen at a theater in six months or so.

I also moved most of last year's blog info to the archived section.
01/12/2007 Yesterday Bridget and I went to a new playgroup. Bridget met some new kids and I met some new parents. Well, moms at least! Bridget played with her new friend Aaron's different train sets.

I finished the 1974 documentary Hearts and Minds. Very good.
01/08/2007 I finished the novel, "State of Fear," by Michael Crichton. Good read. Although if you are convinced that global warming is the truth, and not just a scientific theory, then you won't like it.
01/07/2007 Check out the icon link below. Interesting service. I might take a look.

01/06/2007 Ran some errands today. And I made chicken wings in the crockpot. Turned out well.

Chiefs were hammered by the Colts. Ah well.
01/05/2007 I updated the Lists section.

Chiefs game tomorrow. Hope they can beat the Dolts, I mean the Colts.
01/02/2007 Karen was off today because of the Ford funeral. We went to Brookside Gardens at night to see the annual Holiday lights. They were fun, and Bridget had a good time. Then we got pizza from Sol del Italia.

I watched first half of the movie Hitch. Good so far. I love Will Smith.

12/31/2006 Happy New Year's Eve! We are going to have a quiet evening. I worked all day. Maybe watch the ball drop.

Chiefs made the playoffs. There is no exclamation point because they backed in.
12/30/2006 I put a couple of Christmas movies up.

We watched Thank You for Smoking. Good movie. Funny!
12/29/2006 Bridget and I drove to meet Rebecca and her daddy Jonathan at a Krispy Kreme donut shop. Bridget and I had a donut. We didn't stay that long, but it was fun. Bridget got a Krispy Kreme paper hat and a balloon.
12/25/2006 Christmas 2006 was a good Christmas! Bridget is starting to understand what the Holidays are, and what to experience and expect! She learned about Santa Claus and presents. She left cookies and water for Santa. She got a Thomas tent, Thomas train set, a Thomas drum, some books, a Elmo Goes Potty DVD, and clothes and other presents. Click here for photos.
12/20/2006 I finished the book "The Teeth of the Tiger," by Tom Clancy. Ok read, compared to his other books I've read.
12/16/2006 We watched The Passion of the Christ. Good movie.
12/12/2006 Last night Bridget and I drove to John Weinfurter's Christmas Party at the 116 Club. Karen met us there. Good food and drink. And good to see friend Darin as well as John. Bridget ate a lot, and had an interesting conversation with Senator Baucus staffers and lobbyist Julie Domenick.
12/08/2006 Bridget and I got our hair cut at Hair Cuttery. Bridget was good when she got her trim, and watched daddy get his hair cut. We then went to Five Below to get some candy. I found out that Five Guys will be in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center soon!!!!!! YES!!!!!
12/07/2006 Happy birthday to my good friend, Brad Pfaff!

The other day I wateched Hostel. Actually a good movie.

I found out that the organization that gave me my first "white collar" job,the Congressional Economic Leadership Institute, is going out of business (dissolving, going dormant, whatever). Too bad. It was a good place.
12/04/2006

Busy weekend. Saturday I went to work for an hour and dressed up in a Curious George costume for the store's weekly story hour. Hot, hot, hot. Bridget came but didn't know it was me (again). Then I went to CostCo while she and Karen shopped elsewhere.

We watched The Da Vinci Code. Ok movie. I worked Sunday. Chiefs lost. I went 1-1 in fantasy football.

And yes, Kansas lost to DePaul in basketball. Any questions?

12/01/2006 I have a couple of new videos up. In the Movies section. I'll put some new photos and movies up soon.

Found a grade school classmate online...Bridget Burrows. She likes the fact that Bridget is named Bridget! So the "Where are they Now" section is updated.
11/26/2006 Last night we watched Capturing the Friedmans. I liked it. Different. Disturbing.

I worked today. Busy store.

I finished the book "The Road," by Cormac McCarthy. Dark.
11/23/2006 Thanksgiving 2006. We went to my in-laws for turkey and all that. I fell asleep on the couch after. Tomorrow Bridget and I may do a little shopping. Depends on the traffic. I have to work tomorrow night. Should be fun.
11/20/2006 Bridget and I had a playdate at her friend Armann's. Bridget had fun, but wanted to leave early.
11/19/2006 Chiefs won. I won in one of my fantasy leagues.

Raked leaves today. Well, raked them and used the blower/vac. All done. Till next year.

I'll have photos of this and that up soon. I know I'm behind.
11/15/2006 Today is my 1/2 birthday. I know, I know, what the heck is that? Just a family tradition.

Oh, and the Jayhawks lost to Oral Roberts (at home) in basketball. Keep your calls telling me that to yourselves please......
11/13/2006 Bridget's friend Armann came over for a visit. We hadn't seen him and his dad Steve for over a month. The kids played and the adults talked...politics of course.
11/12/2006 I worked 8 hours today, then went to my friend Jonathan's house to see some of the NFL night game on his huge HD tv. Chiefs lost earlier in the day, but I won one of my fantasy games.
11/11/2006 Happy birthday to Washington State. I know this because of fourth grade. I raked the front yard today. It was 78 degrees. Smelled like spring.
11/09/2006 Karen flew out this morning (early) to Seattle for one night. Some focus group for work. Bridget and I had a good day. We went to the mall to get her new shoes. We also went out to dinner at Barnaby's. I rented Saw II. Not as good as Saw I, but still a good rental. I will probably rent Saw III when I makes it to video.
11/05/2006 I worked another half shift today. Came home and raked the leaves in the front. One of our trees still has a significant amount of leaves on it, but I needed to rake what was there. Two huge piles. The back will be raked when most of the leaves on trees back there are down.

11/04/2006 I worked today. In the children's section of the bookstore, they had a storytime on Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Karen and Bridget came to it. The manager had me dress up in the Clifford costume! I went out with the kids and basically just sat there while they hugged me and asked questions to the reader. Bridget didn't know it was me. She had fun!

We watched the movie Capote. Well, Karen did. I fell asleep about 40 minutes in.
11/03/2006 I finished the book "Angels and Demons," by Dan Brown.
11/01/2006 Bridget and I went to St. Jude's for All Saint's Day. She was quiet for the most part. This was her first Mass to attend. She did fall off the pew while playing around and had to be taken outside. I think she was more embarrassed than hurt! Went to a park after. She had fun.

I started my new job tonight. Should be interesting.
10/31/06 Bridget enjoyed her third Halloween. Her Cookie Monster costume was a hit all around. She got the hint after about the fourth house to put her bag (a pillow case actually) up so people could put in candy. She also figured out to take more than one from an outstretched plate! Photos soon.....
10/30/06 Didn't do to much this weekend. Cleaned the house a bit, including the new floor in the dining room. Chiefs won, and I won both of my fantasy football games (like it matters.) We went to a Halloween party at a neighbor's house. Bridget enjoyed it, showing off her Cookie Monster costume. Made a couple new crock-pot recipes.
10/23/06 I've uploaded a few pictures from the past few weeks. Some are of Bridget, and some are of Aunt Rachael's visit.
10/22/06 Saw the movie The Grudge last night. Library checkout. Not a bad movie. Short, only 90 minutes or so.

Chiefs won! I'm currently winning in one of my fantasy teams. Cleaning today. Bridget and Karen are swimming!
10/21/06 Found this link on the internet, a nice collection of photos from a wedding/bridal shower.
10/19/06 I thought this site was interesting.........
10/15/06 We had a laminate floor put in our dining room yesterday. Guys only took three hours. We had ugly, old, stained carpet down there, so this is a major improvement. Amazing how much dirt was under the carpet and pad! They also took up the original vinyl tiles that were down.

Chiefs got hammered. I won in my fantasy football.
10/14/06 We had a good visit by with my sister Rachael. She spent a lot of time with Bridget, who enjoyed being with her "auntie." We went to parks, saw horses, had nice meals, and had a good time. My dad was here Wednesday on business and that was nice too. I'll put up some photos soon.
10/08/06 I picked up my sister, Rachael, at BWI. She is staying with us for about a week! I haven't seen her for almost two years! Bridget took to her auntie right away.

Chiefs won. I lost in my fantasy football.
10/07/06 Rainy day here. Yuck. Weird weather. We tried to watch Kill Bill, Volume 2. Got it at the library. I fell asleep, Karen watched it. I had seen the first one a while back, but I lost interest.

UW almost beat USC. The Huskies are better than I thought this year!
09/30/06 We watched the movie Syriana. Interesting.

I've also uploaded some new movies of Bridget. Two of them are of Bridget and her cousin Ryan!
09/26/06 Today Bridget is 2 1/2 years old!

I finished the book "The Colorado Kid," by Stephen King. Quick read.
09/18/06 Chiefs are 0-2. I haven't been following them much this past offseason, and I don't know what is going on with the team besides the QB being out. My fantasy team is 2-0 though, so that must count for something.
09/15/06 Our fifth anniversary! Hard to believe it has been five years!
09/14/06 I have uploaded photos of our trip to Montana. There are two photo albums. The first is of "Montana people." The second is of Glacier National Park. A few of the photos in the latter album are from other surrounding areas.

I will upload a few movies of our trip soon.
09/13/06 We got back Monday night from a trip out West to visit my parents and brother. More info soon (and photos....).
08/30/06 The funny thing about MySpace Profiles is that it doesn't affect me at all if some of the profiles are set to private or not. LOL.
08/28/06 Today I canceled my MySpace accounts. Interesting idea....but it got incredibly boring (not to mention a huge waste of important time) after I exhausted finding people I knew, such as relatives and long-lost friends. Mostly MySpace is for high school and college students, people in their 20s, or older single people. It was just taking away too much time.
08/23/06 Bridget and I went to a neighborhood park today. She played with some other kids there, and she went for a walk. She asked her daddy to stay away from her when she went on her walk!

I've uploaded a video of Bridget playing in the sprinkler. Will work with Quicktime and Media Player. Turn up the sound!
08/20/06 Went out to dinner on Wednesday with my good friend Darin Schroeder. Bridget warmed up to him faster this time than in December.

I've uploaded photos. See 8/13/06 and 7/23/06 entries.
08/13/06 Karen, Bridget and I went to the Montgomery County Fair. Bridget went on two rides and played in a moonbounce. We all saw rabbits, ducks, cattle, sheep, pigs and horses. Had some food too. Photos....
08/12/06 We watched the first two episodes of the second season of Deadwood.
08/04/06 This bloody heat wave is leaving us....slowly. Bridget and I have spent time at the malls, libraries, and inside. When we go outside, Bridget says, "too sunny!"

I finished the 12th, and final, book in the Left Behind series. Book is called "Glorious Appearing."
07/29/06 We finished the first season of Deadwood. Great show.
07/27/06 Bridget and I again went to the Gaithersburg park to see some music and dancing. Bridget didn't want to listen/watch much. She wanted to go on the playground. She changed her mind when she started to feel the effects of the heat. Armann and Zach came by with their dads.
07/25/06 Bridget and I went to the Wheaton Regional Park to meet her friend Armann and his dad Steve. We went on the train and the merry-go-round. It was hothothot!
07/23/06 Happy Birthday to my little brother Chris Trebon. Happy 30th!

Again, I remember my 30th. I didn't want to get out of bed!

Bridget, Karen and I went to a farm in northern Montgomery County, MD. Bridget saw two hogs, two brown cows, two geese, some goats, chickens, and a turkey. She also went on a hayride, climbed a stack of hay bales, and saw some fresh produce. Good day. Photos......
07/20/06 Bridget and I went to a park. Met some other SAHD's there. Bridget saw a free concert sing-a-long, and played at the playground. Bridget saw Armann, Julian, David, and Melanie. Daddy saw Russ, Jason, and Steve. Good fun.
07/17/06 Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law Erin Trebon. 30th! (Actually it was the 16th.)

I remember my 30th. I didn't want to get out of bed!
07/16/06 Today I mowed the lawn. It is HOT out. Then we went to our neighbor's house for a cookout. They have a 14 month old girl, and Bridget played with her and had fun.
07/15/06 I finished the book, "A Reporter's Life," by Walter Cronkite. Another book that I've had on my bookshelf for a long time. I think I've had this one for seven years or so.
07/09/06 I saw the movie Cars last night. At the theater. Karen and Bridget went to Karen's mom's place for a sleepover. Nice to have some quiet. Mowed the lawn today.
07/05/06 We had a good Fourth of July. I worked at the "Ho" for five hours or so. Then Bridget, Karen and myself took the Metro down to the Mall. Karen's coworker Walt has a condo on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Had a good view of the fireworks, and some good food. Trip home wasn't bad because we walked to the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop while everyone else and their cousins were trying to get on at Archives.

Some June pics are up......
07/01/06

Last night I went down to Chris and Erin's place to get some stuff that they were getting rid of. Hung out with them, Ryan, Brett, and Ian and Sara (think that was it.) This morning I went back down to help Chris, Erin, and Ryan move. Packed up their Budget rent-a-truck at their apartment and storage place. How they got it all in there I'll never know.

Godspeed Chris, Erin, and Ryan.

06/28/06 Bridget and I went to her friend Margaret's birthday party at the park near Chris and Erin's place. Bridget played with other kids. She saw her cousin Ryan and Aunt Erin. Ryan fell asleep in a swing with his hat over his head. Traffic was a nightmare though....there and back.
06/25/06 We watched the first two episodes of the first season of Deadwood. Good series.
06/24/06 Today was a good day. I worked for four hours and change. Then Karen and I went to Adams Morgan in DC for a party for Chris and Erin. It was at a bar, on the rooftop. Then the rain came and it went inside. After, Karen and I went to eat at a restaurant and then home, after a dessert at Rita's, which is near our house. Bridget was watched over by Grandma Mary and Aunt Charla.
06/21/06 I took Bridget to Washington, DC on the Metro. She enjoyed the train ride to see Uncle Chris. She also saw John Weinfurter. We walked up to Dupont Circle where she saw pigeons, a fountain, and a drag queen. All good family fun.
06/20/06 Had to finally go to District Court in Silver Spring, Maryland. I complained (many times, finally filling out an affadavit) about my neighbor's PIT BULL running around the neighborhood unleashed. I was a state's witness (yes the state is the plaintiff) but wasn't called. Why? Because the defendant didn't show. Thus, fines doubled. 1. Fine for "at large" dog (my complaint) 2. fine for not having vaccination for the dog (resulting charge) and 3. fine for not having dog properly licensed. Two and three were probably very cheap to get done, but the fines totaled about $1,500. So, thus 4. fine for being a stupid dog owner.....
06/19/06 Today is Father's Day. My third one. I saw the third X-Men movie, then went out to eat. Some "daddy time." Also mowed the lawn in 90 degree heat. Bridget gave me a cute card......
06/11/06 On Friday Bridget and I went down again to Chris and Erin's apartment. We played with Chris and Ryan at the same park. Karen met us there. We ate Ben's Chili Bowl for dinner. Good fun.

Saturday night I went to a going-away-party for Dan and Anne Bateson. They are moving back to Connecticut. The party was at Brett's apartment in Arlington. I think that was the first time I was in Northern Virginia for something other than going to the airport since September 2005.
06/06/06 I've uploaded some random May, 2006 pics.
06/02/06

Bridget and I again drove down to Chris and Erin's pad in DC. Bridget, Ryan, Chris and I went to a nearby park. Fun stuff. Chris got a job in Great Falls, MT, so they are moving in a month. Congrats to him/them! Sad that they'll be leaving....

05/26/06 Bridget and Idrove down to Chris and Erin's pad in DC. We played with Ryan and visited with Erin and Chris. Karen met us there after work. Ryan is a big boy, and took some interest in his cousin Bridget. Of course, Bridget ignored Ryan.
05/19/06 Bridget and I drove down to DC and saw Uncle Chris. We parked at his office, spent time in his office, and met people. Bridget as a good girl. Then we walked over to John Weinfurter's office. He wasn't there, but Bridget did see Rebecca. Good times. Bridget fell asleep on the way home.
05/18/06 Bridget and I went to a new park. Playgroup is no longer at Russ' house, so we met at this park instead. We will be back I'm sure.

We also went out to eat, Bridget and I. Karen was away for the night, so we had a "daddy and daughter" night out. Fun, fun.
05/15/06 Today I am 35 years old. All over now.

Yesterday I put together Bridget's toddler bed. Had to run back to BuyBuyBaby because one piece of wood was seriously warped. Bridget likes her bed and is taking to it. Sort of.....
05/12/06

Question: What does dasapking mean?

Second, I finished the book Clear and Present Danger, by Tom Clancy.

05/09/06 Today Bridget and I went to the National Zoo. We drove down in the morning. First Bridget saw goats, donkeys, chickens and cows at the Kid's Farm. Then we were joined by her friend Armaan and his dad Steve. We all saw the apes and monkeys and lions and tigers. And soem other smaller animals. Good time. Next visit we will see other areas of the zoo.
05/04/06 Today was the last day of Bridget's regular StayAtHomeDad playgroup. Russ and his family are moving to Texas. So, sad news. But, some of us Montgomery County SAHD's are planning on keeping something loose-knit going. Bridget has loved her playgroup! A special thanks to Russ and his family for hosting the playgroup for so long!
05/02/06 I uploaded a few more random pics I have scanned in. One is from high school (wow I look young....) and a few are from a trip I took to New York City when I was in grade school.

05/01/06 Happy May Day! May is my favorite month.

I've uploaded some random photos of Bridget, from April, 2006. Some cute shots.
04/30/06 Today we went to DC to visit Chris, Erin and Ryan. It was a great visit. Ryan is a cute baby! We all went to eat at a Mexican place on U Street, NW. Bridget had fun with Ryan and her aunt and uncle.
04/28/06 Happy Friday! I've uploaded a couple of photos. The Easter Bunny photo is also on the Pictures page. I also put this picture there as well, a long-ago shot from college....1993.
04/26/06 I finished seeing "Brokeback Mountain" yesterday.

Bridget Paige received her first haircut today! She went to Cartoon Cuts and sat on her Mommy's lap. She didn't flinch, cry, or pout. I think the distraction of a cartoon on tv helped. She is nice and pretty (like she was before!) I'll post some pics later of her new "doo." (Way to go Bridget's Daddy forgetting the camera.......)
04/25/06 Bridget and I joined her friend Armaan and his daddy Steve at the horse stables in Wheaton. We also went to Brookside Gardens, where the kids played. Good times.
04/23/06 I have scanned in and uploaded this picture of Bridget with the Easter Bunny.
04/15/06 If this guy is guilty, extradite him to Louisiana, put him in Angola Penetentiary, and let other inmates go Brokeback Mountain on him.
04/13/06 Bridget's friend Arman came over for a playdate. The normal playgroup was not held today, so we had our own. Bridget and Arman had fun inside and outside, and their dads had fun too!

I've also uploaded some random March, 2006 pics.
04/10/06 I watched "Good Night and Good Luck."
04/06/06

Today is Karen Trebon's 35th Birthday! Happy Birthday!

I beat Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, on the Xbox. Took me awhile. Done, done.

03/26/06 Today is Bridget Paige Trebon's 2nd Birthday! She had a great party attended by her Uncle Chris, Aunt Erin, Cousin Ryan, Aunt Charla, Grandpa Allen, Grandma Mary, and her friends Kevin, Sara, and Margaret! Good food, cake, and fun. Bridget and Margaret had fun jumping on Bridget's bed. Photos...

PS. I love you Bridget!!!!
03/23/06 Is it just me, or does it seem that the Democrats actually have a shot at taking back the House this year??!!
03/18/06 Yeah, Kansas lost to Bradley. If you are cheering that result, you can kiss my red and blue ass.
03/17/06 Happy St. Patrick's Day. I'm not Irish, but the background of this web page is green.

My Final Four picks are UConn, Boston College (whew, they barely made it out yesterday), Texas, and, of course, Kansas. Kansas over UConn in the National Championship game. One can hope!

I've also uploaded several new movies. Go to the Pictures page to view.
03/07/06 Kirby Puckett died. One of my favorite baseball players.
03/01/06 I have uploaded some new photos. First are February 2006 photos of Bridget. Second, I have started scanning in old photographs of mine. I have a photo album up of a cross-country trip Karen and I took in 2002. Both can also be accessed in the Pictures page. I'll be adding some more pictures soon.
02/27/06 Bridget went to dinner at a pizza place with us and her grandparents. She had a good time and was very well behaved.

Funny how diaper changing is not a big deal now. Just get it done and ignore what is "inside." Different than when Bridget was first born. Then I had to get used to it. I remember when cleaning "unpleasant" diapers I would think of certain people, like Cindy, Alan, Sherry, Eric, Loren.......! Worked wonders!
02/25/06 We went to Ryan's baptism today. At St. Matthew's Cathedral in downtown DC. And a party after. Good time. Ryan didn't cry much, and let his uncle hold him! Bridget had fun with everyone and her friend Margaret.

Go Kansas!
02/22/06 It is snowing here a bit. Not much, supposed to go away. But surprised the heck out of me.

Oh, and Go Jayhawks.
02/20/06 Got the battery in the Saab replaced by AAA. Nice service...they come out to your house and change the batter for you. Same price (actually about ten bucks lower) than NTB. And I don't have to go anywhere. The battery died yesterday, but we got a jump, also from AAA. This morning it needed some coaxing getting started so I decided to get it replaced. It failed the AAA test anyway, done before we had it replaced. It was an old battery.

Filed taxes today.
02/19/06 Last night Bridget surprised us by climbing out of her crib. She didnt' want to go to sleep, so when we left her in her crib, she decided to get out and join us in the rest of the house. So, now her crib is a toddler bed. (It converts into one.) Now she has to get in the hang of not falling out! that is what pillow are for.
02/17/06 First, Happy Birthday to Bill Buser. 35.

Second, the snow is mostly gone. It has been warm the last two days. Even overnight. Springlike. Windy as heck today though.

Third, I finally got into Facebook.com. Curious about it. I got an alumni email address from Loyola New Orleans, and created a Facebook account. Easy. Thing is, though, that just about everyone I've reached out to are YOUNG. As in in college or just out. I searched for people I knew in college and high school, and not one name came up. Another sign that I am old. (If you want to add me to your Facebook "friends' list, please do!)
02/12/06 I spent part of the day shoveling the 8-12 inches of snow we got. It was a wet snow, but the shoveling went fine. We are in the middle of a hill, and some of the neighbors down the hill from us shovel parts of the street. so getting out and driving wasn't much of a problem! Bridget enjoyed the snow, calling it such, and walked a bit in it.

We watched the movie "Murderball." Good film.
02/10/06 Yesterday Bridget and I went to her friend Armann's. Armann is in her Thursday playgroup, which was canceled this week. Bridget and Armann had fun, and I hung out with Armann's daddy Steven. Photos up soon.

I finished Bleachers, by John Grisham. Good, quick read.
02/09/06 Well, this site is about two years old. I can't remember the exact date in February 2004 that I started this site. So, Happy Birthday www.trebon.org.
02/07/06 Chris, Erin, and Baby Ryan came over for a visit. Bridget was a little shy at first, but then quickly recognized Chris and Erin. She played, and talked. Well, babbled. She showed Chris her new video, and smiled at Ryan. I held Ryan for a bit.
02/06/06 It was interesting that the NFL let the Pittsburgh Steelers have 12 men on the field. And even more interesting that the 12th player wore pinstripes.
02/05/06 I have asked God for general absolution since I am cheering for an NFC (that other conference) team to win the Super Bowl this year. I was born and raised in Seattle, consider it my first hometown, and, well, I want the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl this year. I was a fan growing up in the mid-1980s, then became a Kansas City Chiefs fan when I moved to New Orleans for college. So, part of me remembers being a Seahawks fan. Since the Seahawks used to be an AFC team, I'm not feeling that bad.
02/02/06 I uploaded some new photos of Bridget. Random shots from January 2006. Couple of shots of baby Ryan included.
01/31/06 Last night at work was normal. But then I saw one of the loss prevention guys following a shopper. But this shopper was probably about 2. (I'm a little better at judging ages of little kids b/c of Bridget!) I asked if he was lost and the LP guy said he was following him for two aisles, trying to see if the parents were around. I took over, asked the boy if he was lost and tried to talk with him. He babbled in Spanish I think. I put out my hand, which he took, and we went to the service desk in the front of the store.

A Spanish speaking coworker asked him his name, but he didn't respond. I was about to page a parent when the boy's mom came up and he ran to her excited. This was of course about five minutes after I met the boy. The scary thing is that if I wasn't an employee, but a shopper, I could have easily taken this boy out of the store. And the parents would not have found out in time. So, when you are at a store, don't let your kids walk around!

On another note, the Internet was slow today. Can't figure out why. No virus on my computer.
01/30/06 Bridget and I went to a new park. It isn't that far from our house. It had slides, swings, and a see-saw. Bridget and I had fun on the see-saw.
01/29/06 We watched the movie "War of the Worlds," the 2005 version. Ok movie, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in a theater.

I started our taxes. Almost done I think.
01/22/06 We saw the movie "Hustle and Flow" last night. Good movie.
01/18/06 I have a nephew! Ryan Christopher Trebon was born to my brother and sister-in-law! Bridget can't wait to meet her new cousin.
01/15/06 We rented "Wedding Crashers" and watched it last night. Good movie.

Friday passed me by without my realizing it was Friday the 13th.
01/12/06 I updated the "Lists" section of this site. I put up lists of what movies and TV-shows-on-DVD that I watched in 2005. I also put up a list of what books I read in 2005. The latter list is much, much shorter than I had anticipated, and I hope to do more reading in 2006. My friend Brad Pfaff is somewhere laughing at me for my reading habits....!
01/08/06 Last night we watched "March of the Penguins" on DVD. Good short movie. Bridget tried to watch it, but became uninterested. We took down our Christmas decorations too.

Today we went to Chris and Erin's pad for a visit. Karen and I ate at Ben's Chili Bowl while Bridget played at the apartment. Bridget will have a new cousin soon!
01/06/06 Bridget and I went to her friend Rebecca's house for dinner. Bridget played with her friend and I played two X-Box games with Rebecca's daddy.

I also viewed the movie "Saw." Not as bloody as I thought. More like the movie "7" than, say, "Friday the 13th."
01/04/06 Is it just me, or is it a shame when a congressional office doesn't follow internal tradtion with "going away gifts," especially monetary ones?
01/01/06 Happy New Year. Karen and I didn't do much last night. We had a nice beef roast I made in the Crock Pot. Then got Bridget to bed around 10, and then just watched TV and had some champagne.

12/30/05

I've added a slide show of photos of Bridget. These were mainly taken the last half or so of 2005. Actually, most since August. Anyway, enjoy!

Tonight I went out with my friend Darin Scrhoeder to Barnaby's for dinner then to the Royal Mile for some afterdinner drinks. Good time to catch up. Bridget was very shy around Darin. In fact, she is very shy around just about anyone these days.
12/26/05

Christmas was fun. Xmas Eve we had Chinese food, then had a visit by Chris and Erin. Bridget went to sleep around 11, and we crashed shortly thereafter. Santa brought B some puzzles and clothes. Matt got some cognac, a curio cabinet, boxer shorts for sleeping, and a new wallet. Karen received some chocolate, a spa treatment, and season one of Sex and the City.

Christmas Day had us at Karen's mom's place in Baltimore. Fun stuff. We are all full.

12/22/05

Today Bridget and I went to playgroup. This time it was at Jonathan's house. Actually, according to Bridget it is Rebecca's house. Rebecca's daddy has a huge HD ready tv, hooked up to old Navy speakers, and an XBox. Oh, and cable. Bridget may be going to Rebecca's more often.

I can't believe I am saying the following. I just bought Madonna's new CD. And I LIKE IT OK?! I hope I don't lose my Man Card.

Oh, and I updated the "Where are they Now?" page.

12/15/05 Rainy, snowy, wintery-mix day. Bridget and I went to the shopping mall with the intention of meeting Santa Claus. Bridget liked the decorations, especially the snowman hanging from the ceiling. She tightly grabbed on to me when she saw the bearded man in the red clothes. Maybe next year.
12/14/05 Last night Bridget went to a Capitol Hill Christmas party at the 116 Club, near the Senate office buildings. She was shy at first but then warmed up to everyone. She saw her friend John Weinfurter and met Senator Baucus.
12/4/05 We went to a baby shower party at our friend's Kevin and Sara's house. Lot of friends there, and Bridget saw her Uncle Chris and Aunt Erin, for whom the party was thrown. Bridget also played with her friend Margaret, and when Margaret went to bed, Bridget entertained people. Fun stuff.
11/25/05 Bridget's baptism photos are up. I will be getting some of the actual service later. These are pre and post pictures.
11/23/05 Montana photos are up.
11/20/05 Bridget Paige Trebon was baptized today at the Shrine of St. Jude in Silver Spring, MD. Chris and Erin Trebon were godparents. I'll have photos up soon.
11/19/05 Congratulations to my former co-worker, and good friend, Darin Schroeder, who has a new job as director of government relations with an environmental group, in Washington, DC! Congressman Kind's office loses another great staffer.
11/17/05

I know, I know, I know, I know. I haven't updated this site since last month. Ok....

1. Halloween was fun. Bridget was a cow again. We just cut the feet off of the costume which she wore last year. Call me cheap, but she doesn't know and the neighbors loved it. We stopped for some food at neighbors a block over whom I met over the summer.

2. Karen, Bridget and I went to Montana on November 1-6. It was a good vacation. Bridget behaved on the flights. We bought her a seat and brought her car seat onboard. It worked. The flight from Salt Lake to Dulles was a bit tough, and we got home late. The trip itself was fun. Bridget had fun with the dogs and met great-grandmother Mimi. She had fun with her grandparents. I'll have photos up soon.

3. I live in Maryland. But, the new governor of Virginia, Tim Kaine, is a 1976 graduate of my high school in Kansas City, Rockhurst High School.

10/30/05 My brother ran the Marine Corps Marathon. Good job! We went to his place for a get-together. Saw the Chiefs lose. Ah well.

10/25/05 I finished The Longest Yard, the remake of the Burt Reynolds movie. He was in it...too much I must add. Good rental.
10/15/05 Happy Anniversary to Chris and Erin. One year!

We are going to their pad to watch part of the Chiefs' game. Hope they can win.

I've put up a page of "Where are they Now?" Will add more later.

I've also uploaded some September 2005 photos of Miss Bridget.
10/08/05 We rented Supersize Me today. Good movie. I remember when I could eat a Big Mac meal, supersize the fries and coke, and be fine the rest of the day.
10/05/05 Just say no to polka-dotted ties and glamour shots!
10/04/05 I found out today that Tim Kaine, Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia, is a graduate of my high school, Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, MO. So, go Tim Kaine!!!! (I live in Maryland, so I can't vote for him.)
10/02/05 We took Bridget to get her 18 month picture taken. She wasn't cooperative. The photo we got was a half-smile, a half-cry. We'll try some other time.

The Chiefs lost today. Up 17-0, then lose 34-31. Bye week next week, then they play the Redskins at Arrowhead.
9/26/05 Today Bridget Paige is 18 months old!

One way Bridget celebrated is by getting a stomach virus. She threw up a little this morning....then threw up after a short breakfast....then threw up after eating two Gerber wagon wheels....then, the clincher. After giving her a small can of mixed fruit pieces, and drinking a lot of water. Bridget decided to throw up on Daddy at the eyeglass repair store. Thankfully noone else was there, but Bridget got her onesie soaked in vomit, her dad's shirt covered, and the floor had little chunks of mixed fruit! Way to go Bridget!!!!

Coming to this site soon: Where are you now section, a page where I put in names of people I have known over the course of my life, hoping that their name shows up on a Google search of themselves.
9/24/05 The Washington Huskies lost to Notre Dame in college football. That isn't a surprise....but let me tell all of those Irish fans that since the Huskies aren't good this year, and you guys are, you should be embarrassed that you only led 12-3 at the half.
9/22/05 First day of Fall. Wouldn't know it here. I heard on the radio that the DC area has had 1/100th of an inch of rain over some relatively long period of time. My lawn knows that.

Took Bridget to playgroup today. She had fun. She also has a new tooth sticking out! That makes seven!
9/18/05 The Chiefs won again...over the Raiders. I watched the first half at my brother's apartment near U Street NW. Got some Ben's Chili Bowl for dinner....no burgers though, they stop serving them at 7:30 on Sundays.
9/12/05

Saw the movie Crash on Saturday night. Very good movie. The Chiefs won yesterday, demolishing the Jets. Not that I had anything to do with it, I'm just happy they won.

Bridget had a nice visit with Grandpa Tom last night. She'll see him tomorrow night as well.

Why Being a StayAtHomeDad is Better
than Working for a House Member

10. Teething: Sure I have to endure an infant/toddler teething….the gnawing of the hands, teething rings, and drool. But at least I don't have to hear another complaint about a staffer's teeth pain that resulted from a "party fall" in New York!

9. Diaper Changes: An infant has to have her diaper changed more often than a toddler, usually that is. But changing #2 is better in the short and long term than writing it in the form of memos the boss doesn't read, or certain letters to constituents who don't want a form letter anyway.

8. Language Development: Obviously a baby/toddler is just learning to speak. They learn by listening to adults and other children, and probably find just about any conversation interesting. Seriously, some staffers on Capitol Hill just love spouting off the phrase "MedMal! MedMal!" Or, "March is Women's History Month!"

7. Feeding: You start a baby off on breast milk or infant formula. Then you gradually move on to adult food. It can be messy, with food spit up, thrown on the floor, not eaten at all, or slobbered on to a bib. But, it is better than seeing a staffer eat at her desk and spill food on herself, then complaining loudly that she did so. Or, have to listen to staffers talk about the latest "cool" restaurant….cool just because they feel better about themselves going there.

6. Sleeping: Infants will sleep just about anytime/anywhere. The problem is that sometimes it isn't at night. But, they eventually get the idea. They will sleep alone or, when they are older, with stuffed animals. Some Capitol Hill staffers will sleep with a number of people in a given year, including fellow staffers or random hookups while their S/O is in California.

5. Clothing: Young children will wear what their parents put on them. They don't care about fashion, just that their clothes are comfortable. Some Capitol Hill staffers have more than just a few pairs of jeans.

4. Doctor's Appointments: Infants go to the doctor regularly during their first two years. If the infant is sick, sometimes a call to the doctor is required, even a visit to the ER. Some staffers on Capitol Hill will try a new birth control method and complain loudly that it is making them emotional. Try hearing that for a couple of weeks!

3. Bonding: Hopefully a child will bond with his/her parents. This is done through playing, feeding, sleeping, holding, etc with the child. Funny thing is that in some congressional offices, bonding means you will get a job because the person you are bonding to is your friend.

2. Raising a Daughter: some people on Capitol Hill talk about how great their daughter is, how advanced she is, how much they support women. Yet some of these people choose to work rather (when they definitely could do so financially) than make sure a parent is at home.

1. Playing: Kids play all the time. It may start with crawling around, exploring the areas around them. It may include trips to the pool, park, or simply the backyard. On Capitol Hill, it includes shooting paintballs at a political opponent's headquarters.

9/4/05

Click here for an excellent, excellent column that appeared in the Washington Post on Friday. I put in italics some of my comments. A great, great column.

Loyola New Orleans officially closed for the fall semester. Obviously this had to happen. They are saying now that they will reopen in January. Maybe in some capacity. Lets see how everything dries out. Uptown around Loyola and Tulane weren't hit by the flooding that you see on tv, with water up to rooflines. The flooding at school was from the rain, which drained. I talked with one friend who's brother lost his house. And talked with other friends who have no idea what happened to their homes.

Also, click here for some August, 2005 photos of Miss Bridget.

9/2/05 I am absolutely, totally stunned by what is happening to New Orleans. I lived there for four years of undergrad. I am speechless on what I think about it. Obviously the response to get the people out has not been good enough. I don't blame anyone in particular....they just need to get it done now.
9/01/05 Just say no to glamour shots! Or goatees!
8/26/05 I took Bridget to a new park. This one also had a train, and she enjoyed that. She saw three deer! She also enjoyed the kiddie playground and all that. Fun fun.

Oh, and today Bridget is 17 months old!!!!
8/24/05

It is hard to get good help these days. More on that later as my car repair saga continues.

Took Bridget to the Wheaton Regional Park. She rode on a small train twice, seeing a deer on the first trip. She also took one ride on the merry-go-round. She liked the sights and sounds of each. Now she is sleeping!

Had Bridget's baptism class last night. An hour that included a video and a Q&A with a deacon. Soon, soon.

8/19/05 Well, after 18 years of driving, it was bound to happen. Had a little "fender bender," without the fender bender, last night on Georgia Avenue NW. Driving back home, with Bridget, after visiting Chris and Erin. Some slight broadside damage to both cars, nothing big. Ah well. Starting the claims process now. Joy.

Finished the fifth season of the Sopranos. The next season starts in March, 2006. The DVD would come out I'm guessing around Christmas 2006. So, I have over a year until I see another Sopranos.
8/12/05 It is a hot 90+ here, with high humidity. So it feels like hot soup mixed with a sauna.

Took Bridget to John Weinfurter's for a going away party for Stetson Sanders, who is going to the Foreign Service in Central Asia. Good luck Stetson! Bridget had fun meeting new people. She warmed up eventually. Then off to Chris and Erin's for a bit. She had a blast there, dancing with Uncle Chris.

I want to see that movie Four Brothers, with Mark Wahlberg. I can't believe I am saying this, but I love seeing him in movies.
8/4/05 I officially have a Google Mail address (gmail). But, I'm not ready to publish it yet. Will probably wait until much later. I've had my yahoo mail account for years.
8/3/05 Today Bridget made her first visit to the U.S. Senate Office Buildings. She saw her dad's friends Deva and Rob. She also toured the church were her mommy and daddy got married. She was very good.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually like that Mariah Carey song that's been on the air lately.
7/28/05 I have updated the Pictures page with July, 2005 shots. I may take more in the last few days of this month, but for now, here are eleven of them.
7/27/05 I finished the book The Last Juror, by John Grisham, earlier this month. A good book by him, closer to his earlier work than the latter ones. Much better than The King of Torts.

7/23/05 1. Happy birthday to my brother Christopher.

2. I finally, finally saw the movie "Bull Durham." Took me a few years.
7/17/05 Saw the movie Saved! Good flick.

7/17/05 1. Happy birthday to my sister-in-law, Erin.

2. There was a story in this week's Washington Post magazine about blogs. One study said there were millions of them, but a study of that study found that the majority of those were not regularly updated.
7/07/05 I've uploaded some new photos of Bridget. They were taken in June, 2005. I also corrected the link for the photos from May, 2005.

(I had to reprint this...from the archives....)

Nine Things You Can Do and NOT Get Fired on Capitol Hill

(exceptions noted)

9. Swear like a sailor on the phone while in a semi-private office, where visiting constituents can hear you. But, you might get into trouble if you use an innocuous word in an email!!!!

8. Use the Internet on work time to order clothes and furniture.

7. Put the wrong address on an invite for an important fundraiser. Don't worry, your supervisor will protect you.

6. Go on a two-week vacation when the House is in session. When Member calls you on the carpet, berate other staff. At least you'll feel comfortable. While you are on this roll, continue to read the paper at your desk...put your feet up while you do so for an added bonus!

5. Throw out constituent mail. Not only will this help you keep your job, you might even get promoted. But, if you report such behavior, you might find yourself on the bread line.

4. Complain about the size of your Blackberry. But don't maintain the Member's Inbox on his/her Blackberry; despite that being in your job description, you may get fired for clearing it out!

3. Use work -time to talk about boys, new restaurants, gossip, etc on the phone. Make sure others staff can hear you. And, be sure to take two hour lunches or manicures or psychiatrist appointments. Even visit the pool during the summer.

2. Date and perhaps sleep with another staffer who is thinking about departing the office. You might get his/her job. Don't worry, you can always dump him/her and badmouth him/her later.

and, #1. shoot paintballs or have your friends do it, at a political opponents headquarters.

7/03/05 Finished Without Remorse, by Tom Clancy. Good read.

The three of us trudged up to Baltimore to see Andy, Renee, Tim and Nick. Bridget had fun with their dog Oscar and the neighbor's dog Molly. She also had fun sticking her hand down her pants and showing everyone she pooped.
7/02/05 I've uploaded a new movie of Bridget walking. Not great light quality.
6/26/05 Bridget, Karen and I went to a neighborhood public pool. Good old time! We took Bridget into the tots and kiddie pools. She also went down the kiddie slide with her daddy. Both Karen and I took turns going down the big slides, which were fun.

Old blog posts are here.
6/25/05 Went to a Washington Nationals game at RFK Stadium. Good game and good fun. Added a stadium on my lists page.

6/19/05 Happy Father's Day! I did some yard work, then went to see Star Wars. Loved it. Then went to Chili's for a burger. The gift of time from my wife and daughter.

Article on stayathomedads in today's Washington Post. Actually an opinion piece. Go to www.washingtonpost.com and search for a column by Mark Trainer. Or click here, but you may have to register at the Post...... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/06/18/AR2005061800069.html
6/18/05

Today is the first anniversary of me being a stayathomedad. Best job I've ever had. I've spent 2,700 hours, give or take, with Bridget. Now if only I could figure out a way to get paid cash for those hours......

6/13/05

Michael Jackson can thank the justice system and 12 dumbasses for his acquital.

6/11/05 We watched Hotel Rwanda. Great film!

Bridget went to a pool party today. Photos are here!
6/6/05 I have put up some more photos....these are random May, 2005 shots.

Also, congrats to (now) Fr. Scott Weidner, a friend of mine from undergrad who was ordained a priest in Omaha, NE this weekend.
6/5/05 We saw National Treasure last night. Actually a good movie....not a waste.
5/29/05 Today the three of us went to Chris and Erin's pad in DC. Had a nice brunch. Bridget showed her Aunt and Uncle how she can say "Hi." Although not immediately and not as often as they would like. Karen and I watched the Aviator last night. Well, I got tired and missed the last half hour, so I'll watch the rest tonight.
5/23/05 I finished Rainbow Six, by Tom Clancy. Bridget took a nap on me (again) so I was able to finish the last 20 pages or so. Not a bad read.
5/22/05

I've put up quite a bit of movies/slide shows. Please take a look at them when you get a chance....some are quite amusing. All involve Miss Bridget Paige of course!

5/19/05 I've put a couple of more movies up. These are bigger ones....be forewarned if you have a dial-up connection.
5/15/05

Today I am 34 years old. Sonics play tonight, being down 2-1 in their best-of-seven series. Hope they can win.

5/12/05 You can view some movies and a slide show on the Pictures page. Right now they are streaming, not downloadable (at least on my PC). I will fix that soon. These are fairly large files, so if you have a dial-up connection, be prepared to wait.
